Curated Private Douro Valley Tours

Region

The Douro is a region of slow rivers and steep terraces, and it punishes hurried itineraries. A great Douro day is built around two estates, one long lunch with a view, and time to simply watch the valley change color. That is the day we design.

From Porto in a day

A door to door private day tour from Porto, with two estate visits, a riverside lunch, and an optional river cruise segment between Régua and Pinhão.

From Lisbon over two or three days

A scenic drive north, an overnight in the heart of the valley, and time at two or three quintas before returning. The right way to fold the Douro into a longer Portugal trip.

Estate access we actually have

We work with leading Douro estates including family owned quintas that do not accept walk ins. Tastings are private, paced, and led by people who farm the vineyards.

One winery per day, on purpose

We do not stack three tastings into a single afternoon. One estate in the morning, one in the afternoon, and a long lunch in between. The valley deserves that pace.

The right vehicle for the roads

Douro roads are narrow and steep. Our drivers know every switchback, and our V-Class fleet is the right size for guest comfort without losing maneuverability.

FAQ

Is the Douro doable as a day trip from Lisbon?

It is possible but not recommended. The drive is long. We strongly suggest at least one overnight in the valley.

Can we include a river cruise?

Yes, a one hour river segment between Régua and Pinhão pairs beautifully with the drive.

How many estates do you visit per day?

Two. Three is technically possible but the day loses its rhythm.

Do you arrange overnight stays in the valley?

Yes. We work with the most respected hotels and quinta accommodation across the region.
