Day by day

1. Day 1 — Welcome to Porto & Riverside Stroll
   Upon your arrival at Porto Airport, your private driver will greet you and take you to your hotel. After settling in, enjoy a gentle, unhurried stroll along the city's iconic Ribeira district. This charming riverside area, an UNESCO World Heritage site, is perfect for a relaxed introduction to Portugal, with its colorful buildings and splendid views of the Douro River and the Dom Luis I Bridge.
2. Day 2 — Porto's Treasures, Tiles, History & Wine Cellar
   Today is dedicated to discovering the soul of Porto. We will admire the city's architectural gems, including the famous Sao Bento Railway Station with its magnificent tile panels depicting scenes from Portuguese history. We will also pass by the ornate Lello Bookstore. The day culminates across the river in Vila Nova de Gaia for an authentic Port wine tasting at a traditional cellar.
3. Day 3 — Porto at Your Leisure
   Enjoy a full day to explore Porto at your own pace. Whether you choose to revisit a favorite spot, browse the shops on Rua de Santa Catarina, or simply relax at a riverside cafe with a glass of wine, the day is yours to enjoy. Your driver remains available for any transportation needs within the city.
4. Day 4 — Canals of Aveiro & Striped Houses of Costa Nova
   Venture south for a delightful day trip to Aveiro, often called the 'Venice of Portugal.' Glide along its canals on a traditional 'moliceiro' boat, admiring the Art Nouveau architecture. We'll then continue to the nearby coast to photograph the charming, candy-striped fishermen's houses of Costa Nova, enjoying the fresh sea breeze.
5. Day 5 — Scenic Journey to the Douro Valley
   Bid farewell to Porto as we embark on a scenic drive into the heart of the Douro Valley, the world's first demarcated wine region. The journey itself is a highlight, with roads winding through hillsides covered in terraced a vineyard. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to absorb the breathtaking panoramic views.
6. Day 6 — Douro River Cruise & Winery Experience
   Experience the Douro from a different perspective with a private one-hour cruise on the tranquil river. Later, we will visit a family-run 'quinta' for a tour and a tasting of their regional wines. You'll learn about the centuries-old traditions of winemaking in this unique terroir while savoring the fruits of the local labor.
7. Day 7 — Douro Valley at Leisure
   A full day for you to relax and enjoy the serene beauty of the Douro Valley at your own pace. You might choose to indulge in the amenities of your hotel, perhaps enjoying its spa facilities, or simply find a comfortable chair with a view and a good book. This is a day for rest and personal indulgence in one of the world's most beautiful wine regions.
8. Day 8 — Farewell to Portugal
   After a final, leisurely breakfast enjoying the Douro's morning calm, your private driver will take you comfortably to Porto Airport (OPO) for your flight home, filled with cherished memories of your family's journey through Portugal.
