11-Day Journey Through Portugal: Porto, Douro, Algarve & Lisbon

Day by day

1. Day 1 — Lisbon Arrival & Scenic Transfer to Porto

2. Day 2 — The Best of Porto: Ribeira, Lello & Port Wine

We'll explore the colorful Ribeira district, a UNESCO World Heritage site, marvel at the intricate architecture of the Lello Bookstore, and cross the iconic Dom Luís I Bridge for breathtaking views. The day culminates with a tasting at a renowned Port wine cellar in Vila Nova de Gaia.
3. Day 3 — Douro Valley: Terraced a vineyard, Wine & River Cruise
   Journey into the heart of the Douro Valley, the world's first demarcated wine region and a landscape of breathtaking beauty. We'll drive along winding roads with spectacular views of the terraced a vineyard sloping down to the river. You'll visit a prestigious 'Quinta' (wine estate) for a tour and tasting, and experience the valley from its most magical perspective with a private one-hour cruise on the tranquil Douro River.
4. Day 4 — Journey South: Aveiro Stop & Arrival in the Algarve
   Today we travel south towards the sun-kissed Algarve coast. Along the way, we'll stop at Aveiro, the "Portuguese Venice", before continuing your journey to the stunning coastline of the Algarve for a relaxing evening.
5. Day 5 — Coastal Wonders of the Algarve
   Explore the dramatic coastline and golden beaches of the Western Algarve. We will visit the historic port town of Lagos, venture to Sagres to see the formidable fortress, and reach 'the end of the world' at Cape St. Vincent. Throughout the day, you'll discover hidden coves, dramatic sea caves, and breathtaking viewpoints that define this stunning region.
6. Day 6 — Alentejo Charm: Évora's History & Journey to Lisbon
   We depart the Algarve and travel towards Lisbon, venturing through the rolling plains of the Alentejo region. Our main stop is the UNESCO World Heritage city of Évora, a captivating open-air museum. You'll explore its Roman Temple, unique Chapel of Bones, and medieval cathedral before we complete our journey to Lisbon, the nation's capital.
7. Day 7 — The Best of Lisbon: Belém, Alfama & Old City Charm
   Immerse yourself in the vibrant spirit of Lisbon. Today is dedicated to exploring the city's most iconic districts. We'll start in Belém, discovering monuments from the Age of Discoveries, before ascending to the historic Alfama district, with its maze of cobblestone streets, and finishing in the elegant downtown Baixa neighborhood. A tasting of the famous Pastéis de Belém is a must!
8. Day 8 — Fairytale Sintra, Cabo da Roca & the Cascais Coast
   Embark on a magical day trip to the enchanting hills of Sintra, a storybook setting of whimsical palaces and lush gardens. You'll visit the romantic Pena Palace, explore the mystical Pena Palace, and then journey to the westernmost point of mainland Europe, Cabo da Roca. We'll return to Lisbon along the scenic coastal road, passing through the charming fishing village of Cascais.
9. Day 9 — Medieval Walls & Giant Waves: Óbidos and Nazaré
   Travel north for a day of contrasts, from medieval charm to raw coastal power. We begin in Óbidos, a perfectly preserved walled town where you can wander a maze of cobblestone streets and taste the local Ginjinha cherry liqueur. Later, we head to the coast to Nazaré, a traditional fishing village famed for its colossal waves, where you can witness the power of the Atlantic from the impressive clifftop viewpoint.
10. Day 10 — Free Day to Explore Lisbon at Your Leisure
    Today is yours to enjoy Lisbon at your own pace. You might revisit a favorite neighborhood, explore the city's many museums, indulge in some shopping in the Chiado district, or simply relax at a sidewalk café, soaking up the unique atmosphere of the Portuguese capital. 11. Day 11 — Departure from Lisbon
